Tagg the BuilderVSThe Unclosed Tag
Tagg the Builder saysHTML is the skeleton of every web page — it labels content so the browser knows what each piece is.

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) isn't a programming language — it's a markup language. You don't write logic; you label content. A heading, a paragraph, an image, a link: each gets wrapped in a tag that tells the browser what it is.

Every website you've ever visited is, underneath the styling and interactivity, an HTML document. CSS makes it look good and JavaScript makes it move — but HTML is the foundation both build on. Learn it first and everything else has somewhere to stand.

The Unclosed Tag attacks — common mistakes

Boss battleAdd a second <h1> and a <p> below the existing ones. Notice the browser happily renders both — HTML never crashes, it just shows what you give it.

Example code

<!doctype html>
<html>
<head><meta charset="utf-8"><title>my first page</title></head>
<body>
  <h1>Hello, web</h1>
  <p>This paragraph is real HTML. Edit me on the left.</p>
</body>
</html>
